Headquartered in Devens, MA, MagneMotion Inc. develops and manufactures assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions using electro-magnetic technology, specifically linear synchronous motor and magnetic levitation systems selling to a worldwide market.

About the Opportunity

The person in this position will provide ongoing engineering support for MagneMotion's linear synchronous motor product line by providing in-depth technical knowledge relating to the products. Overall responsibilities will require developers to identify and implement enhancements to the product to improve robustness and serviceability.

Qualifications:

• BSEE with emphasis on embedded C software and 5-8 years of experience
• Experience with T1 24x/28x DSP's a plus
• Hardware and software trouble shooting, problem solving skills as well as strong people skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in motion controls and motor drive control systems such as PID loops, PLC's, PC based controllers, serial communication and positioning devices a plus
• Experience with industrial automation, robotics and automated manufacturing equipment a plus
• Approximately 25-50% domestic and international travel required, sometimes on short notice

Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and high quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, RMA debug, and future prevention
• Develop and implement strategies for providing proactive support resulting in fewer incidents and increased availability
• Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems
• Develop, test and support hardware and software upgrades to the current product lines
• Analyze customer issues and identify hardware and software solutions
