MagneMotion to launch the new MagneMover™ Shuttle, a turnkey manufacturing and assembly automation transport system

MagneMotion, a developer and manufacturer of assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions using Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) technology, today announced that it will introduce a new transport system, the MagneMover Shuttle, at the Automation Technology Expo East (ATX) 2008 from June 3-5, 2008 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY in Booth #3023.

The MagneMover Shuttle combines the company's QuickStick® LSM product line with standard, aluminum track and vehicle components to form a flexible, turnkey product transport solution. The new system features a high-speed transfer shuttle that allows for a range of system layout alternatives and tightly spaced return paths that save valuable floor space. The MagneMover Shuttle moves carriers at speeds many times faster than competitive material transport systems and quickly and accurately positions loads to facilitate on-carrier work processes and higher throughput. The carriers can be stopped quickly and accurately anywhere along the transport track and any stop location can be changed in a few computer key strokes, without any mechanical parts or adjustments.
