MagneMover® LITE (MM LITE) FAQs

How do I interface with the MM LITE system?
The MagneMotion system has a proprietary embedded PC called a node controller that can communicate with an end user’s PLC or PC using either an Ethernet/IP communication protocol or TCP/IP communication protocol. This connection is made with a simple Ethernet cable.
Do you have CAD models and reference drawings?

What is the expected lifetime of the puck?
The puck is designed for a life time of 16,000 km running at a maximum velocity of 2 m/s, a maximum acceleration of 2 m/s/s and a maximum payload of 1 kg. The puck top is removable and can be replaced when needed.
What is the position resolution of the motors?
The smallest increment that you may command a puck to move is 0.001 mm.
What is the magnetic field of the puck?
There is a small magnetic field present above the magnet array or puck but the vast majority of the magnetic field is focused in the gap between the magnet array and the motor where it is needed. The field above the motor dissipates quickly with distance. To discuss your application requirements and any concerns regarding magnetic field please contact MagneMotion.
